You can reach Trades.Tools three ways: call or text (604) 632-4959, or email Ali@Sedighi.ca. Our hours are Mon–Fri 9–6 Pacific. Text or email outside those hours and the answer comes the next working day at the latest: we usually reply within one business day. There are no forms or chat boxes on this site. You reach a person. A short text is a fine way to start.
What happens next
Send a short note
Your business name, city and what you need.
Get a reply
Ali or a senior strategist answers, usually the next business day.
Plan the next step
If it fits, you get a clear proposal. If not, honest advice.
The fastest way to a useful answer
Send a photo of a worksheet. Even a half-finished one tells us more in ten seconds than a twenty-minute call about "marketing in general." Any of the four tools works:
- the job value worksheet, if you are unsure what a lead is worth to you
- the marketing ROI worksheet, if you are deciding whether to keep or cut a channel
- the ad budget worksheet, if you are about to change your spend
- the local SEO checklist, if you are not sure why you are not showing up on Google
Take the photo in good light, flat on a table, so the numbers are readable. Blank rows are fine. They tell us where the gap is.
What to include in your message
Whether you call, text or email, these details help us give a real answer the first time:
- Your trade and where you work. For example, residential electrical in the Fraser Valley, or roofing in and around Moncton.
- The decision you are facing. One sentence. "Should I keep paying for this directory?" is perfect.
- Rough numbers, if you have them. Monthly marketing spend, average job value, roughly how many calls a month.
- What you have tried. Agencies, ad platforms, anything that worked or did not.
- When you can take a call back, especially if you are on the tools all day.
Here is a template you can copy into a text or email:
Hi, this is [Your name] from [Business name]. We do [trade] in [City or region]. I'm trying to decide [the decision]. We spend about $[amount] a month on [channels] and our average job is around $[amount]. I can talk after [time]. Photo of my [worksheet name] attached.
What happens next
- We read it. Usually within one business day. If you sent a worksheet, we check the arithmetic and look for the row that is driving the answer.
- We reply or call. Often with a direct answer. Sometimes with two or three questions, because one number does not add up.
- Free consultation, if useful. A 30-minute conversation about your numbers. It is free for eligible trades businesses and separate from any paid plan.
- Your call. If paid help makes sense, we explain which service fits and what it costs on the pricing page. If it does not, we tell you, and suggest which worksheet to keep working on.
There is no lock-in at any step. If you hire us later, plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice.
Before you call: what we can and cannot help with
We help trades and home-service businesses with marketing and the business numbers behind it: job value, ROI, ad budgets, local SEO, tracking, websites and reporting.
We are not a contractor. We cannot help with installs, repairs, service calls, quotes on trade work, or technical, safety, licensing or code questions. If you are a homeowner looking for a tradesperson, please contact a licensed local business directly. If you need accounting or legal advice, your accountant or lawyer is the right person.
Who you will be talking to
Trades.Tools is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. You will speak with a senior strategist, not a call centre. Learn more on the about page, or read the FAQ first if you have questions about contracts or ownership of your accounts.
Frequently asked questions
When can I reach you?
Monday to Friday, 9 to 6 Pacific time. We usually reply within one business day to texts and emails sent outside those hours.
Will I be put through to a salesperson?
No. You will talk with a senior strategist who can read your worksheet and discuss your numbers.
Do I have to fill in a worksheet before contacting you?
No. It helps, but a phone call with rough numbers is a perfectly good start.
Is my information kept private?
We use what you send only to reply to you and to work on your question. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we only send messages to people who contacted us first.
