The plans
All prices are in Canadian dollars. Trades in Canada add their province's GST/HST (GST and QST in Quebec).

Run the numbers on us, too
A marketing plan should pass the same test as any other channel on the ROI worksheet. Here is the break-even arithmetic for the Growth plan, using invented figures:
- Plan cost: $1,999 a month, plus GST/HST (which a registrant can usually claim back; ask your accountant)
- Average gross profit per job, from your job value worksheet: $800
- Jobs needed just to cover the plan: $1,999 ÷ $800 = 2.5 jobs a month
Add your ad spend to the cost side when you do this. If you also spend $3,000 a month on ads, total marketing cost is $4,999, and break-even is about 6.25 jobs a month at $800 of gross profit each. Anything above that is return.
Now flip it. Ask yourself whether 2.5 extra jobs a month, or 6.25 with ads, is realistic in your market. If your gross profit per job is $150, it probably is not, and you should stay with the free tools for now. We would rather tell you that than sell a plan that cannot pay.
What drives the cost of marketing for a trade
Plan price is only part of what you spend. The worksheets show how the rest adds up:
- Ad spend. Set by the ad budget worksheet, working back from the jobs you want. It is paid to the ad platforms, not to us.
- Your market. Large cities with many competitors usually cost more per lead than small towns.
- Your job value. High-value work can carry a higher cost per lead. Small service calls cannot.
- Your booking rate. If half of your calls go unanswered, every lead costs twice what it should. Fixing that is often the cheapest improvement available.
- Your website. If it needs rebuilding, that is a one-off cost. The Elite plan halves Trades.Agency website design packages and the Enterprise plan includes one.
- Tracking. Without it, you pay for marketing you cannot measure. It is usually one of the first things we set up.
How to choose a plan
Use the worksheets to choose, not a sales call.
- Stay with the free tools if your ROI worksheet shows marketing already working and you have time to keep running the sheets yourself.
- Growth fits an established business with one or two main channels that wants them run properly and measured against booked jobs.
- Elite fits a business running several channels at once, or one that also needs a better website.
- Enterprise fits a larger operation that needs a dedicated team and priority support.
If you are not sure, the free consultation is the place to decide. Bring a filled-in worksheet if you have one; it makes the conversation much shorter.
What you own
Whatever plan you choose, you own your website, domain, ad accounts, Google Business Profile, tracking numbers and data. If you leave, they leave with you. That is part of what no lock-in means.
Trades.Tools and Trades.Agency are marketing and business consulting services. We are not contractors and do not do trade work. To compare services before choosing, see the services page.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a contract?
Plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract. You can cancel with 30 days' notice. Annual billing is optional and lowers the monthly price.
Do the prices include GST or HST?
No. Worksheet help is billed in Canadian dollars, with GST/HST at your province's rate (GST and QST in Quebec).
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. Trades.Agency offers a free 30-minute initial consultation for eligible trades businesses, separate from the paid plans. It is a conversation about your numbers, not a sales script.
Is ad spend included in the plan price?
Plan prices cover our marketing work. Money paid to Google or other ad platforms is a separate line, and the ad budget worksheet is how we decide it together.
Where is the full, current price list?
On the Trades.Agency pricing page, which is linked from this page. If anything there differs from this page, the Trades.Agency page is current.
